December 13th: Nancy Weis “Heresy, Flimflam and Turmoil; The Second Enlightenment in Vermont.” In the mid 1800’s while Universalism and Unitarianism spread throughout the land, other religions added, divided, and multiplied wildly. An anecdotal account of some of the local repercussions of the great religious turmoil of the mid 1800’s.
